The award of D.C. degree is in recognition of high achievements, independent research and application of scientific and medical knowledge to the solution of technical physical problems. Creative and productive enquiry is the basic concept underlying the research work. In order to overcome any deficiency in the breadth of fundamental training or proper foundation for advanced work, special preliminary or pre-doctoral courses are given by each department/centre. Students are requested to consult the particular department for the research areas of their interest.

Doctor of Chiropractic
A Chiropractic Doctor is a medical professional and should display proficiency in spinal manipulation to remove interference or dysfunction in the central nervous and musculoskeletal systems. A D.C. most common therapeutic procedure includes but is not limited to spinal manipulation or chiropractic adjustment. A chiropractor may also choose to pursue proficiencies in the Active Release Technique, instrument-assisted manipulation, physical rehabilitation and physical therapy, strength training, health and nutritional training, The Webster Technique, kinetic therapy or electric muscle stimulation.
